Welcome Home to Temple Emanuel!  With fewer than 275 member families, TE is the only intimate reform congregation in the metro St. Louis area. We're centrally located in Creve Coeur, Missouri -  convenient to St. Louis and St. Charles counties, as well as St. Louis City.

 

When you join our congregation, your family becomes part of our family - whether you're worshiping, learning, or socializing. Temple Emanuel was founded by families searching for a religious home, and many of our founding members are still active and highly engaged in our community. TE prides itself on providing a warm and dignified worship experience that elevates the spirit, warms the soul, and challenges the mind. One of our highest priorities is to make Judaism and Jewish experiences accessible, gratifying, and meaningful. It is equally important that all members of our many interfaith families feel at home at Temple Emanuel.

 

Facilities at Temple Emanuel include a sanctuary designed for an intimate worship service on Shabbat, but expandable to accommodate the entire membership and guests during the High Holy Days. There is a social hall for life-cycle events and congregational celebrations.  Our building has eighteen religious school classrooms, a youth lounge, art room, and beautifully landscaped grounds including a meditation garden.

 

When you enter our beautiful Bernoudy-designed sanctuary with its stunning vaulted wood ceiling and large stained-glass windows we know you will share a special feeling of awe.  When you talk to Rabbi Elizabeth Hersh, who knows all of our congregants by name, you will feel a sense of belonging.  And when you engage in our warm and welcoming community and experience Judaism in a way that is comfortable, enlightening and rewarding, we know that you will feel at home.
